“Arthritis” literally mean joint inflammation. Although joint inflammation is a symptom or sign rather than a specific diagnosis. The term Arthritis is often used to refer to any disorder that affect the joints. These disorders fall within the broader category of Rheumatic disorders.

Cervical Spondylosis (Neck Pain)
Cervical spondylosis is a common degenerative condition of the cervical spine that most likely caused by age-related changes in the intervertebral disks. This includes the disks or cushions between the neck vertebrae and the joints between the bones of the cervical spine. Symptoms often develop slowly over time, but they may start or get worse suddenly. Pain may spread to the upper arm, forearm, or fingers.
Back Pain Management
Lumbar Spondylosis refers to a collection of degenerative disorders that can lead to low back pain as people age. The main causes are Internal disc disruption, Degenerative disc disease and segmental instability. Symptoms include chronic low back pain which is often made worse with sitting or bending forward. Pain is persistent and lasts longer than six weeks.
Multiple Sclerosis Management
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body that is it affects the brain and spinal cord. Early MS symptoms include weakness, tingling, numbness, and blurred vision. Other signs are muscle stiffness, thinking problems, and urinary problems.Thus diagnostic criteria was formulated as “Charcot Triad”, consisting in nystagmus, intention tremor, and telegraphic speech (scanning speech)
While the cause is not clear, the underlying mechanism is thought to be either destruction by the immune system or failure of the myelin-producing cells. Proposed causes for this include genetics and environmental factors such as being triggered by a viral infection. MS is usually diagnosed based on the presenting signs and symptoms and the results of supporting medical test .
Myasthenia gravis is a chronic autoimmune neuromuscular disease characterized by varying degrees of weakness of the skeletal (voluntary) muscles of the body.It is caused by a defect in the transmission of nerve impulses to muscles.The symptoms include eye muscle weakness, eyelid drooping (ptosis), blurry or double vision (diplopia),unstable gait, a change in facial expression, difficulty in swallowing, shortness of breath, impaired speech, and weakness in the arms, hands, fingers, legs, and neck.
Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a degenerative disorder of the central nervous system mainly affecting the motor system. It affects the nerve cells in the brain that produce dopamine. Early in the course of the disease, the most obvious symptoms are movement-related; these include shaking, rigidity, slowness of movement and difficulty with walking and gait. Later, thinking and behavioral problems may arise, with dementia commonly occurring in the advanced stages of the disease, and depression being the most common psychiatric symptom.
In Ayurveda the disease is well managed by therapies and therapeutics. Same varies accordingly to nature, age, built of the patient and duration, severity of the disease and are kashya ksheera dharas, abyangam, pizhichil, pizhizhu thadaval, njavara kizhi, thaila dharas bhahya and abyantara snehapanas, swedanas, mridu shodanas and panchakarmas.
Psoriasis is a chronic non-infectious inflammatory disease of the skin characterized by well-defined erythematous plaques bearing large, adherent silvery scales. Plaque pattern is the most common type. Lesions are well marcated and range from a few millimeters several centimeters in diameter. Guttate pattern is usually seen in children and adolescents and may be the first sign of the disease often triggered by tonsillitis. Scalp is often involved. Involvement of the nails is common with thimble pitting onycholisis.
Generally, obesity is considered more than one-fifth overweight to the normal weight range. Obesity can be defined as excessive enlargement of body’s total quantity of fat. There is no biologic reason for men and women to get fatter as they grow older. Therefore the standard for over fatness for adult men and women should probably be established as men above 20% and women above 30% body fat. The location of adipose (fatty) tissue in the body should also be considered, fat distributed in the abdominal region poses a greater health risk compared to fat deposited at the thigh and buttocks.

Spine Related Disorders
The spine, or backbone, is made up of small bones (vertebrae) stacked — along with discs — one on top of another. A healthy spine when viewed from the side has gentle curves to it. The curves help the spine absorb stress from body movement and gravity.
When viewed from the back, the spine should run straight down the middle of the back. When abnormalities of the spine occur, the natural curvatures of the spine are misaligned or exaggerated in certain areas, as occurs with lordosis, kyphosis, and scoliosis.
Can be diagnosed by MRI ,CT, EMG ,Discography etc and very well managed by ayurvedic therapies such as rooksha swedam ,pichu ,veshtanam ,elakizhi ,naranga kizhi ,mutta kizhi ,dhanyamla dhara ,pizhichil ,pizhizu tadaval ,njavara kizhi, manzal kizhi ,udwartanam. But these all varies accordingly to the condition of the patient , nature and duration of the disease.
Respiratory Allergic Diseases
Allergic reactions are caused by substances (allergens) to which allergic people have become sensitised. Severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis) tend to be due to food, insect stings or medicines. Nonetheless, many people can be allergic to allergens in the air and general environment (aeroallergens), including: pollen from trees and grasses, house dust mite, moulds. pets such as cats and dogs.

Musculo Skeletal Disorders
Musculoskeletal Disorders or MSDs are injuries and disorders that affect the human body’s movement or musculoskeletal system They results in pain in the body’s joints, ligaments, muscles, nerves, tendons, and structures that support limbs, neck and back. MSDs can arise from a sudden exertion (e.g., lifting a heavy object), or they can arise from making the same motions repeatedly repetitive strain, or from repeated exposure to force, vibration, or awkward posture. Injuries and pain in the musculoskeletal system caused by acute traumatic events like a car accident or fall are not considered musculoskeletal disorders. MSDs can affect many different parts of the body including upper and lower back, neck, shoulders and extremities (arms, legs, feet, and hands).

Many people drink socially, or occasionally, and are able to stop after a few drinks. It does not interfere with any other aspect of their life. Addictions can be tobacco smoking , ganja , marijuana , cocaine etc.

Avascular necrosis (AVN) of the femoral head is a pathologic process that results from interruption of blood supply to the bone. AVN of the hip is poorly understood, but this process is the final common pathway of traumatic or non-traumatic factors that compromise the already precarious circulation of the femoral head. Femoral head ischemia results in the death of marrow and osteocytes and usually results in the collapse of the necrotic segment. During sports endeavours, hip dislocation or subluxation is the most frequently reported traumatic means of AVN. Most cases of AVN are atraumatic and include alcohol abuse, chemotherapy, coagulopathy, corticosteroids, chronic liver disease, haemoglobinopathies, smoking, pregnancy, gout, radiation, SLE, vasculitis, Idiopathic hyperlipidemia etc.
But in Ayurveda the medicine of life provides immense relief of disease, its progression and cure. It includes internal therapeutics with external therapies such as various dharas like kashaya, thaila, dhanyamla, matravasthi, pizhichil, njavara, pancha karmas, manjal kizhi, etc .
The word ‘plegia’ means weakness so severe that it is nearly complete. ‘Hemi’ implies one side of the body. Hence, ‘hemiplegia’ means complete paralysis of one half of the body, including one arm and leg. Any disease or injury in the motor centers of the brain can cause hemiplegia. Hemiplegia is a more severe form of ‘hemiparesis’ wherein one half of the body is only weakened. It is also very different from the conditions of paraplegia & quadriplegia, which are commonly confused with hemiplegia. Paraplegia is paralysis in both legs, below the waist. Quadriplegia is paralysis below the neck and is also usually the result of a spinal cord injury.
The treatments are based upon that of the cause to prevent worsening of the hemiplegia and its residue. Ayurvedic medicaments and therapies have immense result in curing such condition. External therapies include bahya rookshanam and snehanam ,abyangam, pizhichil, pizhizu tadaval, ela kizhi, naranga kizhi, njavara kizhi, shodana karmas such as virechana, nasya, nirooha, asthapana etc. These all depends upon the status of disease, nature, age of the patient, climate etc., ie, the treatment method varies from patient to patient.
Liver disease is any disturbance of liver function that causes illness. The liver is a large organ in the upper right abdomen that aids in digestion and removes waste products from the blood. Liver plays an important role in many bodily functions from protein production and blood clotting to cholesterol, glucose (sugar), and iron metabolism.
Liver disease is a broad term that covers all the potential problems that cause the liver to fail to perform its designated functions. Usually, more than 75% or three quarters of liver tissue needs to be affected before a decrease in function occurs. Symptoms of liver diseases include weakness and fatigue, weight loss, nausea, vomiting, and yellow discoloration of the skin (jaundice).
The treatment of a particular liver disease depends on its specific cause. In Ayurveda Yakrit Vikaras are very well delt and its treatment principles. The treatment profile ranges from internal medicaments to external therapies. Abyanthara snehapana, Swedana, Samsodhana –Vamana , Virechana, Nirooha and Asthapana, Rakta moksha, Kashaya dhara, Dhanyamla dhara etc. These all varies accordingly to nature, constituency of an individual, their age and severity of disease.

Your liver, gallbladder and pancreas are also involved. They produce juices to help digestion.
You may be able to overcome digestion problems with treatment and lifestyle changes. Certain diseases of the digestive system might be long-term, but medications can help alleviate symptoms and through Ayurveda you can have it. There are internal as well as external therapies, shodhana (eliminating) therapies shows deep rooted cure than samana (palliative) therapies. Age Related Disorders
Aging is the process of becoming older. It represents the accumulation of changes in a person over time. In humans, aging refers to a multidimensional process of physical, psychological, and social change. An aging associated disease is a disease that is seen with increasing frequency with increasing senescence. Age associated diseases are to be distinguished from the aging process itself because all adult humans age, but not all adult humans experience all age-associated diseases.
Ayurvedic treatment is the most suitable treatment and it can perfectly control the increasing degeneration in most of the cases thus, to stabilize the present status.
